Warp, Weft and Weaving Basics - Rigid Heddle Looms

Instructor: Kala Godard

February 1st 9:30-1:30 PM

In this class we will be learning how to start weaving on your Rigid Heddle Loom!

This class is to learn the basics of weaving with an emphasis on learning the fundamental building blocks such as direct warping, tying on our warp, Slaying the heddle, keeping consistent tension and how to keep a consistent edge and width to your weaving.

This includes the use of a student loom in class, yarn to make a small sample scarf or runner and instruction.   Some people will make more progress than others resulting in varying lengths but you will walk away with knowing how to start and remove a project and what you create you can take home.

The loom that you will be working on is available for purchase and we also carry various other looms that might better suit your end goals.  This is a great class to try it out and we will discuss the different sizes and types and what loom may help you accomplish your goals.

The class fee is $70 with a non-refundable deposit of $35 due to hold your spot.    These classes require quite a bit of preparation and we have had too many last minute cancellations and other students who want to take classes.

That being said I know things come up, if you can let me know 48 hours prior to the day of class so that I can attempt to fill the spot.   But you must communicate it directly 48 hours or more prior to the day of class to receive a refund.

Please select below if you would like to pay in Full or just the non-refundable deposit.
